Deriving the existence of BB̄∗ bound states from the X(3872) and Heavy Quark Symmetry

چکیده
We discuss the possibility and the description of bound states between B and B̄∗ mesons. We argue that the existence of such a bound state can be deduced from (i) the weakly bound X(3872) state, (ii) certain assumptions about the short range dynamics of the DD̄∗ system and (iii) heavy quark symmetry. From these assumptions the binding energy of the possible BB̄∗ bound states is determined, first in a theory containing only contact interactions which serves as a straightforward illustration of the method, and then the effects of including the one pion exchange potential are discussed. In this latter case three isoscalar states are predicted: a positive and negative C-parity S1 − D1 state with a binding energy of 20MeV and 6MeV below threshold respectively, and a positive C-parity P0 shallow state located almost at the BB̄ ∗ threshold. However, large uncertainties are generated as a consequence of the 1/mQ corrections from heavy quark symmetry. Finally, the newly discovered isovector Zb(10610) state can be easily accommodated within the present framework by a minor modification of the short range dynamics.

Heavy Meson-Antimeson Molecules in Effective Field Theory: the Role of One Pion Exchange and Heavy Quark Spin Symmetry
In this contribution we study heavy meson-antimeson molecules from the effective field theory perspective. In particular, we are concerned with the role of the one pion exchange interaction and heavy quark spin symmetry in the description of molecular states. As we will show, one pion exchange is in general a perturbative effect. This means that at lowest order we can describe the molecular sta...
متن کاملHeavy quark meson spectroscopy at CDF
With growing datasets collected by the CDF II experiment, studies of the spectroscopy of mesons containing heavy quarks become more exciting. The CDF experiment has good capabilities in both charm and bottom sector. This capability allowed also to contribute to the study of the zoo of states called X,Y, Z. In this area we present a recent update of the mass measurement of X(3872). The result m(...

The possibility of interpreting baryons containing a single heavy quark as bound states of solitons (that arise in the nonlinear sigma model) and heavy mesons is explored. Particular attention is paid to the parity of the bound states and to the role of heavy quark symmetry. ⋆ Work supported in part by the U.S. Dept. of Energy under Contract no. متن کاملMeson spectrum and tetraquarks through an AdS/QCD inspired potential
AdS/QCD correspondence allows to compute the quark-antiquark potential in the static limit. We use this piece of information together with the Salpeter equation (Schroedinger equation with relativistic kinematics) and a short range hyperfine splitting potential to describe the bound states of quark-antiquark. Comparison with experiment permits to fit the parameters of the model, namely the quar...
متن کاملInvestigation of BB̄ four-quark systems using lattice QCD
We investigate BB̄ systems by computing potentials of two static quarks in the presence of two quarks of finite mass using lattice QCD. By solving the Schrödinger equation we check whether these potentials are sufficiently attractive to host bound states. Particular focus is put on the experimentally most promising bottomonium-like tetraquark candidate Z± b with quantum numbers I(J ) = 1(1). 1. ...
